Dr. Janrus Abello - Mactan Doctors ENT

My first time to encounter ear problems and since i don't want to go to the hospital without prior appointment and wait for long queues, i tried facebook page and found Dr. Abella's page. I booked 4days prior. Received responses and reminders very promptly through email and messenger. The secretary was very entertaining too, the office very comfortable and ambience of the clinic is nice. My ear discomfort was treated and i am feeling better. I highly recommend Dr. Abella should you be needing ENT specialists.

I had a pimple in my nose that looked like it was getting worse so I went to the ENT doctor. The office area was good and a nice environment. I have to say that I'm American. I saw the ENT doctor for literally maybe 3 MINUTES. I told him what the problem was in my nose, I showed him the photo I took of the problem, he was extremely reluctant to look in my nose but he did for maybe 2 SECONDS (it kind of surprised me, it made me feel bad about myself). I'm very hygiene conscience so I take great care of myself. He prescribed the medication and pain killer that worked great but he charged me **** 2,000 pesos *****. When I told my wife, who is Filipino, she could not believe I was charged that much. We have agreed that I will not go to another doctor unless we ask what the price is first. I'm not saying this is the case in my situation with this doctor but I have found that many think they can charge foreigners more but what they don't understand is, it's not the same here as it is in the US or other places. In the US, we have many different assurances for the quality of care and quality of products, there are governmental agencies specially for issues, there are doctor's boards you can request help if something goes wrong, we have many appeals we can make, we have quality assurance if something happens and if not, you have the courts, we have many other options at resolving issues. The care here in the Philippines is really good but it's not the same so there should never be a comparison when receiving treatment OR asking for payment as well. My issue was resolved but my wife and I felt it was a lot for a 3 minute visit. Thanks

I would not suggest this place. Go to the other ENTs, and hell, I'd suggest anywhere but here. But you do you if you think because this spot's near your house, you go here, please just take a Grab or Maxim somewhere else, preferably in Cebu City or the other competitors.
