A huge thank you to Dr. Charlie Ho and the amazing Vision Therapy staffs for their constant guidance, support, and for sharing their knowledge with me. Everyone was so approachable and willing to teach, which made the learning environment very encouraging. I learned so much about vision therapy, sports vision, and various eye exercises. The experience really helped me understand how vision care goes beyond just glasses and contact lenses. This internship gave me both valuable skills and a deeper appreciation for the field. My experience at the Vision Science Institute has been both eye-opening and transformative. Throughout our sessions, I was exposed to a wide range of advanced assessments, hands-on trainings, and equipment that deepened my understanding of how vision, neurology, and performance are interconnected. Each activity from stereopsis testing and motor-sensory tasks to using innovative devices challenged my skills, strengthened my clinical reasoning, and allowed me to appreciate the importance of precision in every procedure. I became more aware of my own visual strengths and limitations, which helped me empathize with future patients who may struggle with similar tasks. Overall, the internship enhanced not only my technical competence but also my confidence, curiosity, and commitment to becoming a more holistic and patient-centered optometrist.

My time at Vision Therapy Philippines under the Vision Science Institute has been a meaningful and rewarding experience. The hands-on sessions were engaging and helped me better understand and apply vision therapy techniques. I’m truly grateful for the guidance of the staff and the valuable learning I gained during my stay at VSI.
