I visited Villanueva Clinic last month for my annual medical exam and, unfortunately, my experience was far from positive. The woman at the front desk was noticeably off-putting, dismissive, and showed little to no interest in addressing even the most basic questions. Instead of assisting, she repeatedly asked me to come back on another day—twice—for the same set of tests for very trivial reasons despite my effort to come there early (7:00 a.m.). On top of that, she initially told me dismissively that the annual medical exams from my company under an active HMO subscription (Maxicare) were not done in their clinic, which directly contradicted the information provided to me by another staff member.(She just plainly told me “Indi na di, sa piyak na” and just turned her back at me without further explanation of what she meant whatsoever!) Honestly, she probably just tried to get rid of me because it was very early on a Saturday morning and she is visibly not in the mood to entertain patients yet. Her demeanor was very unprofessional and disengaged the entire time I was there with the way she was also treating other patients as I have observed. Further, based on what I have read from other reviews online, this behavior of hers appears to be a recurring issue rather than an isolated incident which goes a couple of years back even. Her attitude toward patients not only creates unnecessary inconvenience but also reflects poorly on the clinic’s overall service standards. For a medical facility that people rely on for professional and medical care, having a front desk representative who exhibits such conduct is a serious concern. I strongly encourage the board and management of the Villanueva Clinic to look into this matter with seriousness. A clinic’s frontline staff shape the first impression of the entire medical institution, and in this case, the impression is overwhelmingly negative. Ultimately, due to this personal experience, I had no choice but to get my annual medical exam done at another facility after she attempted to reschedule me yet again for the third time. I hope the clinic takes the initiative to address these issues so future patients won’t have to experience the same frustration. She is unbecoming of a professional working in a medical facility, and the fact that Villanueva Clinic hasn’t done anything to remove her from her post despite the overwhelming negative reviews pointing to her behavior reflects the kind of management this medical facility has - unprofessional. What a shame!

I visited your clinic on September 11, around 1 or 2 PM, for a lab test. I was aware that I needed to fast, but I didn't know the exact number of hours required. When I arrived, I had already fasted for 10 hours. The lady at the front desk told me I needed to fast for a full 12 hours and asked me to come back the next day. Following her instructions, I went home and returned the next morning. My last meal was at 10 PM, so I arrived exactly 12 hours later. To my surprise, I was then told that the fasting period was supposed to be 10 hours, not 12. I was devastated and upset by this misinformation. I work all night and get very hungry, and as a pregnant woman, prolonged fasting is not healthy for me or my baby. The lady who assisted me was also not approachable, which made the situation even more difficult. This has been a very frustrating experience due to the conflicting instructions.

I should have read the reviews here before taking the time to see this condescending psychiatrist. In the few encounters I had with her, I could feel the lack of warmth or genuineness that I believe a psychiatrist must possess in order to gain a patient's trust and cooperation. I feel that she is just doing her job for financial gain and not so much to help people overcome their mental health. She is quick to react defensively and negatively when you ask her about something that is not even remotely offensive. How can you trust a psychiatrist who is supposed to help people deal with behavioral and mental problems when she herself cannot seem to keep her composure and is overly defensive over something so minor? Maybe she should be working on her behavior first before treating patients because she has no business doing it with the kind of personality she has. Instead of helping you heal, you may just end up jumping to your death if you have to deal with her.
