Vierneza-Dumali Children's Clinic

I’m honestly not the type of person who writes reviews, but this time I feel like I can’t miss the chance to share how one doctor saved my son. A few days ago, my son had a very high fever, along with wheezing, stridor and a bad cough. I tried reaching out to his own pediatrician, but because it was a holiday, I couldn’t get an appointment or even an online prescription. Out of desperation, I took him to The Medical City South. Unfortunately, the experience there broke my heart. He was misdiagnosed with pneumonia and prescribed antibiotics right away. The medical staff seemed cold and rushed, showing little patience with children. During his X-ray, he cried so hard that the tiny blood vessels in his face broke, leaving him even more distressed. I can't elaborate further how stressful the whole experience was, that was meant for another post and another review. So we went home hoping the medicine would work, but instead, his condition worsened overnight. By the next morning, he was struggling to breathe, and it was terrifying as a parent to see. His own pedia still had no schedule that day, so I searched online and decided to bring him to Vierneza-Dumali Children's Clinic. That decision made all the difference. From the moment she saw my son, she immediately knew what to do. I started to finally grasp the whole situation as to what my son is experiencing. It was something serious and time is of the essence. She didn’t just write a prescription, she personally called hospitals to check for available rooms so my son could be admitted right away. When no rooms were available, she didn’t stop there. She coordinated directly with Westlake Medical Center and handed us a doctor's order that will be performed in the ER so that my son can get treated even if there are no hospital rooms available yet. By the time we reached the hospital, my son’s oxygen level was only 78. He was struggling to breathe, and he was put in the critical bay area in the ER? I'm not sure what it's called. The nurses and doctors at Westlake acted quickly but with so much compassion. They comforted my son through every step and worked calmly, which helped ease our fear. With their care and Doc Vierneza’s persistence and guidance my son finally began to recover. Looking back, I can’t help but think: if we had gone to a different clinic, or to a doctor who didn’t care as deeply, something much worse could have happened. Doc Vierneza-Dumali went above and beyond. She explained everything clearly, showed genuine concern, and treated my son as if he were her own. She didn’t just do the bare minimum; she did everything possible to make sure my son was safe. Words will never be enough to express our gratitude that I still have my son safe and sound with me today. I truly believe God used Doc Vierneza as an instrument to save my son’s life. I will always be thankful, I hope this person gets blessed even more. The world need more doctors like her - compassionate, dedicated, and truly human at heart. My faith in the medical community is now restored. ♥ :)

Had my flu vaccine here and everything went great! It was cheaper compared to other clinics, and the doctor's hands are super light—I barely felt the injection. She even gave me a vaccine record book, which is really helpful. Definitely recommending this clinic!
