I had to visit the hospital in the middle of the night, and I was very impressed by the staff. From the guard, information personnel, and medtechs, to the nurses and doctors, everyone was accommodating, professional, and kind. I truly appreciate their care and efficiency, especially as someone who also works in the medical field. It made a stressful situation much easier to handle.

One of the staff members in the emergency room was very rude and unaccommodating. I only went here because I live nearby, hoping to be treated properly. After my lab test, the doctor said my results were normal and gave me a prescription. I was then asked to go back to the information desk to correct the spelling of my name, which I did. When I returned, I confirmed that I was done since the doctor had already given me my prescription. I was advised to proceed to the cashier, but when I got there, the cashier pointed out that nothing was written on my index card. At that point, one of the ER staff suddenly raised her voice. She spoke loudly in a rude, condescending tone that made me feel like I was stupid. She even spoke with the cashier as if I wasn’t standing right in front of them, like I was invisible. My mom even asked afterward if there had been a problem because of how loudly she was speaking. In reality, it was just a simple oversight that could have been addressed calmly. When I went back to the ER again, the doctor simply repeated that all was well, my results were normal, and that I was done. It turned out he had just forgotten to write something on the card and that it needed to match my corrected name. This wasn’t my fault as I was only following instructions. Since it was my first time there, I didn’t know the process. If I had made a mistake, I would have accepted it, but there was no reason for the staff to be rude. As for the doctor, I was expecting some form of consultation after the lab test. Instead, he didn’t ask me any questions about what I was feeling, what happened, if this is a recurring issue, and didn’t explain my results beyond saying “normal naman,” and just handed me a prescription for a painkiller-without any instructions on how to take it. I had to ask the pharmacy for clarification because I didn’t even get the chance to ask him. I didn’t feel acknowledged at all, as if I was just wasting his time. There was only one patient inside the room aside from me at the time. I wasn’t asking for VIP treatment, but as hospital staff, the least they can do is show some basic courtesy and provide proper communication. On a positive note, the laboratory nurse was very nice and friendly, and some of the other staff were okay. Unfortunately, my experience with the doctor and one ER staff member left me very disappointed.

I only went to Tiglao Medical Center because we had an emergency, and the experience was disappointing from the start. The guard wouldn’t let us park in front of the emergency room even though it was a parking area. We were told to use the parking lot at the back, which meant the patient had to walk about 10 minutes just to get to the ER. Inside, instead of getting assessed right away, I was rerouted to fill out forms and deal with HMO approval. At the very least, the nurse should have checked the patient first. I even had to leave the hospital to get the LOA printed, which made the situation even more stressful. The cashier staff wasn’t helpful and came off as rude. Overall, not a good experience for an emergency visit.
