“I had been dealing with the flu for almost two months, ever since I arrived in the Philippines. This excellent general doctor quickly identified the problem and prescribed me medication for five days. Now, I’m feeling completely fine. Thank you so much for the treatment — such a great doctor! I hope I won’t need to visit again, but if I ever get sick, I’ll definitely return here for care.”
“I think its a norm that all medical city branches are bad. This one is big though although the male reception and the male nurse are nice some others still has attitude”

Kind of frustrating with how this clinic handle people inquiring and the actual patients. No standard greetings like simple good morning/afternoon, how may I help you, etc. that may warm up ailing or worrisome patients coming in for consultations or claiming lab results. Btw, got in to consult a mild chest pain and palpitation. Nurses in the Nurse Station had been chatting “casually” and loud enough to be heard by us, waiting patients that when it was already my turn for the vitals learned that what they were discussing was not related to their professional tasks at all. That before that one nurse finally put the BP on me, he was still on his conversation with the other 2 nurses, still about their personal topic. Then when faced with the Doctor, she appears to be tired already. I was expecting at least some basic questions from her on the pain I had felt earlier. There was btw a question she asked me, “may goiter ka ba”. I found that ridiculous like howwould I know if I have it. She didn’t even bother to touch or feel my neck or so or listen to my chest or back with her stethoscope. She just wrote down heart disease on the lab request paper and the ECG and X-ray that I had to undergo. Going back with the front ladies to whom I was instructed to approach again and give the lab request form. I had given it to the staff on the farthest right but rejected me and reluctantly saying some words like I shall be the one to come closer to understand her. She was like telling me to “ok, I’m so done and we’re about to close. Couldn’t help to wonder if it is the norm among The Medical City staff. But kudos to the lady staff (farthest left, by the wall) who was the one encoding and validating HMO plan and politely instructed me with the next steps. Also the ECG nurse, the X-ray tech, and special mentioned - the Guard at the entrance door. Should I say he has done his homework on carrying out what he learned on his trainings including COURTESY.
