The Dental Clinic - Feliciano and Associates
About
In short: I am absolutely disgusted by the lack of professionalism I experienced here and I question the qualifications of the dentist who saw me. Do not go here unless you want to follow with a painful and expensive process to fix their mistakes. Further details: Initially, I only came for a cleaning. It's been 2.5 years since I visited this dental clinic and I experienced a sharp pain whenever I ate or drank even room temperature water for 2 years. I did not experience pain before my visit but the dentist here showed me that I needed minor fillings so I went ahead with it. Throughout the filling process, she kept saying 'if you need anaesthetics, just tell me' which at the time, I did not know pain during a dental filling only occurs when the filling is deep. I underwent an unnecessarily painful procedure. The whole time, the admin lady was gossiping with her in the dental room- totally unprofessional! Moreover, the fillings misaligned my original bite (too much filling) which led to unintended teeth clenching in my sleep. I only went here because the clinic had a good reputation among locals and my regular dentist in the Philippines was unavailable. I saw my other regular dentist (abroad, where I normally reside) after 6 months and expressed my issues with continuous pain. He was incredibly confused because I had only seen him earlier that year, there was no way my minor fillings could have progressed quickly enough to necessitate the deep fillings (and excruciating pain) I underwent. He fixed my bite by reducing the volume of the filling (there was too much) and gave me a gum shield. This did not solve the issue so I resorted to a root canal later. He also recommended I never visit this establishment again and even report it. I should have realised how much of a red flag it was that they insisted I purchase their PPE or leave. Only for another patient to walk in minutes later wearing their PPE- effectively defeating the purpose. As a healthcare worker, it is laughable. I do not recall the name of the dentist now nor do I care to. She is not worth any more stress and I recommend the dentists collaborating here reassess their hiring process and qualifications of their associates. All I remember was that it was an older woman and she was not friendly, nor was the admin staff.
