Patient Reviews
The hospital staff, including the admitting personnel and security guards, were all friendly and accommodating. The nurses on the 6th floor were kind and attentive, and the OR staff showed great care and professionalism. A special mention goes to the midwives and nurses in the labor room, especially Ms. Maris and another nurse whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch. They were incredibly compassionate — during my contractions, they held my hand and even massaged my back. Of course, the pain was still there, but having someone by my side to comfort me made a big difference. They also added pillows behind me without me asking, which made me feel truly cared for. The doctors are exceptional! Dr. Reichenber Arcilla is the main reason I chose this hospital, and her team at MNMCH exceeded my expectations — they were outstanding. I highly recommend Suite Room 602. According to the admitting staff, it’s the best room in the hospital — and I agree. The large windows made our stay more pleasant and relaxing. My only concern was the billing process, which took several hours to complete. Other than that, everyone at Metro North Medical Center helped make my experience a positive one.
I gave birth in this hospital Nov ‘25. Doctors and Nurses are professional and warm. My baby and I were treated very well. Though, Labor and Delivery room facilities are outdated. Also, it’s just weird for a hospital that their restrooms have no tissue in place
I like that most of their staff (nurses, interns, doctors, and even their custodians) are polite and friendly. They will greet you even you are in an elevator. What I don’t like are the people inside their Billing department. I had an inquiry about the changes in our room rates. A simple and general question that can be answered with a simple answer ONLY if they have read their memos about the changes in room rates instead of giving me their usual/general answer of “system-generated” and that they need their supervisor to answer my question. It took 2 other departments (admitting and HMO) to answer my simple question simply because they have read the memos. Later that day, I was called to go down to their Billing department. I simply thought that it was to “finally” give me an explanation to the changes in room rates. I knocked to the window, say that I was called, then this clerk/supervisor rudely handed me a paper indicating that I need to make a downpayment because we have “exceeded” our INITIAL limit from HMO. She arrogantly told me to make a deposit. I asked her if she coordinated/asked HMO department first before calling me to go down, because if she did, she would have known that our HMO have increased our limit. A waste of my time to go down and explained it to her instead of her doing her job thoroughly, and did not even offer an apology for her mistake! Billing department could use a little improvement on how they talk, explain/answer questions to your PAYING patients/clients.
