Patient Reviews
Took us almost 1 hour just to get the billing paper. Biller prioritized to eat her lunch first before accommodating outpatient. We’re the only one waiting for the billing paper. You can see their faces and reaction not being in a rush knowing theres a patient waiting for them. They even got a chance to chat with one another. Not so professional yet too pricey. Accommodation is just like public hospital mcu just has AC’s. ER biller is not professional :) ER nurses are short staffed :)
Suffering a panic attack / acid reflux. The Doctor advise me to do some test (2D Echo & Threadmill Stress Test) then go back on thursday (9/11) to read the test. After going back, the doctor wasn't there. I'll go back na lang daw after a week. As if na I will wait pa after a week when I felt hard breathing na and it worse daily. Requesting to get the result and try to read by the other hospital kase di na normal ang breathing ko but they refused to give pa rin. So dismay in this hospital.
I decided to take my 7-year-old to the ER due to dengue symptoms. This was his **first trip to the ER or hospital**, as we usually only visit our regular doctor for check-ups. **Big thanks to the Pedia ER team.** The nurses were very polite, friendly, and helpful. Our pediatrician was professional, caring, and clearly explained what to expect. She provided crystal-clear information on what could happen next based on the lab results and my child’s current condition. I wish I could write a separate glowing review for her — thank you so much. Unfortunately, things started to go downhill the moment we received the ER bill — **more than ₱10,000**. The bill listed only four items: - Laboratory – around ₱3,700 (which I assume was just for the CBC) - Pharmacy – for 1k plus, possibly for paracetamol, cetirizine, and the IV - Cashiering station – ₱309 - Emergency Room – roughly ₱5,500 This felt **overpriced**, but I didn’t mind too much at first, thinking that for the amount charged, we would get proper care and attention. I decided to admit my child, believing that staying in the hospital would help him recover sooner than staying at home. After paying the admission downpayment, I was told to wait in the ER until the admission team could accompany us to the room. **Big thanks as well** to the lady in the admitting office who patiently explained my room options several times, trying her best to help me understand the process despite my exhaustion from traveling to the ER after work with no food. She explained everything with a smile, and I truly appreciated her effort. But we waited in the ER bed for almost **two hours** and no one came for us. My elder son followed up with the admission staff and was told there was a “toxic hold-up,” with apologies for the delay. We decided to buy food and wait another hour. **Take note:** My child still had his IV line in but **no medications were administered** for his mild fever and stomach ache. He lay there in the ER from **4 PM until 10 PM** with no pillow, just the standard adjustable ER bed. After an hour more, still no room was available. Tired and frustrated with the same runarounds, we decided to refund our ₱5,000 downpayment so we could transfer to another hospital. To my surprise, they said **refunds aren’t processed in real-time** and that we’d need to return in **seven business days** to get our money back. By **12 midnight**, we decided to take my son home to rest, eat, and prepare to go to a better hospital early the next morning. I am deeply disheartened. This was my child’s first experience in the ER, and he suffered instead of receiving the care he needed. I felt terrible, especially after reassuring him that the hospital would help him feel better — but I was wrong. This is the same hospital where my brother, other relatives, and I went to college, but after this experience, I can no longer recommend this hospital — maybe not even the school. It’s not just **overpriced** — the entire **process is terribly managed**. This is my first time ranting and writing a bad review. I dont feel good about it but its just not right.
