I booked a consultation online and the process was quick and seamless. On my first visit, I found the clinic easy to navigate and everyone in the staff was very professional and accommodating. I went on a Monday afternoon. The doctor was also very thorough with her assessment. She addressed my concerns and questions and made me feel comfortable throughout. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience. Thank you!

I just wanted to share my experience tonight at North Exchange Ayala Makati branch, I am requesting to have a consultation tonight December 6, 2025. I thought the services was good since I'm not feeling well but the designated doctor for me, always reply sarcastic and I feel like I'm being judged the way he looks at me. I'm not mad, I'm just sad about the experience I have tonight with them. Never again with you Maxicare North Exchange Ayala.

ANIMAL BITE VACCINATION āš ļø Unfortunately, the experience was FRUSTRATING AND UNSATISFACTORY, and I believe it’s important to raise the issues that occurred and for everyone else to be aware. After being assessed via Maxicare teleconsultation and classified as a Category 2 bite, I was promptly scheduled for an in-person appointment at the Ayala North Exchange Primary are Clinic by the tele doctor. I went to the clinic at almost midnight—immediately after the teleconsultation—because I wanted to receive immediate care and my anti-rabies vaccination. From the start, the Ayala North clinic doctor (Dr. Bagtas) seemed distracted and unsure. While reviewing my details on his tablet, he incorrectly remarked that I had been bitten by a cat, which I immediately corrected—it was my pet dog. He even asked if I was sure it was a dog, which I found both baffling and insulting. How could I possibly mistake what animal bit me? I clarified again that it was my own pet dog. But instead of focusing on the wound or clinical assessment, he began questioning the size and breed of my dog, followed by how the incident occurred. After i explained the situation, he said—flat out—that he was DOUBTFUL of how it happened. It was extremely frustrating and insulting to again be doubted for something so straightforward. His reaction made me feel judged and not taken seriously, which is unacceptable in a medical consultation. What made the experience worse was that he barely assessed my bite. After only a cursory glance, he immediately classified it as a Category 3 bite and referred me to the ER at Makati Medical Center—without clearly explaining why. When I mentioned that the teleconsult doctor had already assessed the bite as Cat 2 because there was no bleeding and no deep laceration, and that it was the teleconsult doctor who scheduled my appointment at the Ayala North Exchange Primary Care Clinic, this clinic doctor appeared surprised and didn’t seem to take that into account at all. Rather than focusing on my bite wound, he became more concerned with administrative details- as to why i havent mentioned from the start that i came from teleconsultation and whether I had received an Excel file from the tele doctor - presumably some kind of internal report that should have been sent to me. He spent more time trying to verify that than actually examining my wound, which should have been his primary responsibility during the consultation. He still made no effort to reassess and only took a photo of the bite. He insisted on referring me to the Makati Med ER, yet PROVIDED NO CLEAR MEDICAL REASON for doing so. This felt highly unnecessary, as though HE SIMPLY JUST DIDN'T WANT TO HANDLE THE CASE. Referring me to the ER without clear justification—especially at a time when COVID cases are resurging—is not only questionable but also irresponsible. Everyone is aware of how long and stressful ER visits can be, and his decision to refer me felt avoidant and dismissive. This was validated when I arrived at the ER, and the triage nurses questioned why I had been sent there and even commented that Maxicare doctors have been doing this a lot recently. The Makati Med ER doctor treated the situation with the professionalism I expected. He listened carefully, inspected the bite closely, and verified that there was no deep wound or bleeding—which matched what I had said all along. As a result, he appropriately categorized the bite as Category 2, directly contradicting the INCORRECT AND PREMATURE CATEGORY 3 CLASSIFICATION MADE BY DR. BAGTAS. This entire situation could have been avoided if the said primary care clinic doctor had simply done his job—listened properly, assessed the wound thoroughly, and made an informed decision. His lack of action resulted in wasted time for me, unnecessary stress, and a burden on the already overwhelmed Makati Med ER staff. This experience was not only disappointing, but also raised serious concerns about the competence and professionalism of the doctor involved and the quality of care provided at the Primary Care Clinic.
