Patient Reviews
Highly recommend Makati Animal Health Clinic! My cat had a full tooth extraction and she was already eating well just a day after her surgery. The vets were very gentle and caring, and the cost was really affordable compared to other clinics. Super thankful for how well they took care of my baby ππΎ
I've been thinking about giving this place a review ever since Doc Wilford gave me an attitude 2 or 3 years ago (I forgot). Now, I'm finally writing it because everything piled up for me at this time. I bear resentment against him, to be honest. It seems like they want to lose customers and go out of business, I don't know. Since 2022, I've been bringing my cat here for vaccines and deworming, and there hasn't been any problem. Also, I want to commend Ace for his good service and being friendly to us customers. He was the only nice person there. The others were rude (the female receptionists and the other staff- I don't know if they're still there), which really pissed me off. Then there was a time when my cat got fleas and lost some weight. Mind you, I was a first-time pet parent so I was really clueless obviously that's why I needed an expert's advice (not just Google), so I consulted Doc Wilford about it. Also, I didn't buy or adopt my cat. He was just surprisingly given to me and I wanted to take care of him. I just figured out how to provide for him along the way. Doc Wilford asked me about how I fed my cat, and he judged my ways instead of properly telling me the right amount of feeding. I smiled at him when he told me something familiar (I saw it on Google), then he said in an annoyed way, "bakit ka nakangiti?" like there was something wrong with smiling. He also said, "ibang klase ka talaga," (about how I fed my cat) and saying it repeatedly at a loud volume like he wanted everyone else to hear how he shamed me. After that, I didn't come back. That was the first time ever that a doctor talked to me that way. My bf wanted to continue bringing my cat there because it was near the house, the fees were cheap, and he thought Doc Wilford was good at his job, so I let my bf keep bringing the cat there for vaccines. And then recently, my cat got UTI. My bf brought my cat here in this clinic again. Doc Wilford just prescribed some meds, sedated my cat, and put a catheter in him (no x-ray, no blood test, no confinement). At first, I felt relieved because the total costs were not that high. I just hoped my cat would get better and trusted that the meds and catheter would help him. 10 days after the onset of my cat's UTI, my bf and I were surprised that the catheter got removed. My cat's e-collar had been on the whole time and we didn't know how he removed the catheter. My bf messaged Doc Wilford about it, and they decided not to re-insert another catheter and just continue the meds. After that, my cat seemed to pee normally again. But the next day, I saw some blood dripping out of him and he looked like he was in pain, just lying, unable to move, and howling when touched. That was nighttime, so we couldn't bring him to Doc Wilford's clinic since it was closed. The clinic's schedule is also M-W-F-Sat, so if you need to bring your pet on T-Th-S, nothing will happen to you. So of course, we had to bring my cat to another vet clinic. They immediately confined him and did an X-ray, a urinalysis, and a blood test to him, which should've been done in the beginning of my cat's UTI. The results didn't look good. My cat's bladder was full and had a lot of blood. He couldn't pee because there's still a blockage. So does that mean the meds didn't work? Or they weren't enough? The next day, the other vet from the clinic told us that my cat needed perineal urethrostomy and a cystotomy or else he'll die. That day was one of the worst days of my life. I thought he was going to die. We immediately said yes to the surgery, but we did it on another clinic with more affordable fees. Thank God my cat is still alive and recovering. The UTI he had was the first sickness he ever had. I couldn't bear to see him die. He was still young. So that's my story. It's up to you if you want to bring your pet here, but if you base your decision on reviews here like mine, there are definitely better vet clinics out there.
We brought our Lior here to get neutered 5 days ago. After 5 days, he died. He was a strong, healthy and playful cat. He wasn't sick when we brought him there. We should have believed the google reviews THAT SOME PETS DIE when taken to this clinic. No wonder they take multiple kapons everyday but doesn't accept emergency checkups in the afternoon, only in the morning. But for the entire day, pag kapon pwede. Because they move purely on business only pero wala talagang pagmamahal sa pusa at sa ginagawa nila. I regret switching from PCPB to this clinic. I will forever curse this clinic. Heβs only 1 and a half years old
