Jurisvet Pet Emergency Hospital

I’m surprised na mababa reviews here when Jurisvet has been our go to vet clinic. Iba ‘yung approach ng vets here compared to other vet clinics and to think we’ve been to so many given we have 12 dogs and 4 cats. Photo below is taken in the wee hours of the morning, Doc Bisa, the actual owner, woke up just to conduct the surgery on our dear Harmon, and successfully he did, by God’s grace. During emergencies, only Jurisvet would accommodate us without being so negative about it, they first assess the situation and explain all the details of any procedure and the possible repercussions. Other vets just go “wala na po ‘yang pag-asa” which never sit well with us, as our dogs and cats are treated like our children. Doc Aldrin and Doc Gio have always been accommodating to us, even going far and beyond by messaging us after if kumusta dogs namin. We are grateful to Jurisvet Lipa for going the extra mile for our dogs. ✨❤️

I have nothing against the vets and the other personnel assigned here since they were nice and accommodating. However, I have to share facts from my recent experience in this clinic. We brought our dog in for surgery (mass removal). 1. The procedure resulted in a huge wound on my dog’s back. I noticed that the stitches were a bit loose after the operation, but since I didn't have any reference on what a proper one should look like at that time, I thought that the considerable gap between the affected body parts was normal. After seeking a second opinion on my dog’s case, I saw a night and day difference in the needlework. 2. Several weeks after our dog's operation, I realized that they were charging so much on supplies used for wound management at home. They charged ₱500 for a liter of 0.9% sodium chloride. I bought the same thing from Southstar Drug for under ₱200. A container of chlorhexidine cleaning wipes (100 pcs) is being sold online at ₱130, and they sold it for ₱380. 3. I was grateful that they took care of my dog for more than two weeks after his surgery. However, I was taken aback when I saw clumps of hardened dog food around his face after he was discharged. I didn't expect the staff to trim or brush his fur daily during his confinement, but a little bit of grooming after every meal (like wiping food off his face and ears) would've been appreciated. In general, I just expected better service considering the price they charge for consultation and confinement.

Took my pet late night, I just got back from a loooong tiring travel to get him to vet. The test results says my pet is not in a very good condition but I didn’t think much of it because when I asked if we can start the medication that same night, doc said “Pwede naman”. When I asked what they think about his condition, doc said “Kinakabahan ako e”. When I asked when we should come back, doc said “In two weeks”. Every answer doesn’t scream urgency. So I paid 12k that night, gave my pet the meds, then went to sleep. I woke up morning, my dog is veryyyy groggy. Still gave his meds and not even an hour later, he’s DEAD. Tbf, they also offered to confine him by asking me, “Ipapaconfine niyo po ba or home care?”. Ofc, I opted home care because my pet doesn’t like being left and they made it sound like home care is a good option, too, and he doesn’t need urgent treatment. It was my first time encountering that sickness, and I just wish I wasn’t too tired and had the energy to research more about it instead of sleeping the night off.
