Branch: Ideal Vision SM East Branch Date of visit: August 28, 2025 I came to this branch expecting professional service, but the experience was disappointing. The sales staff who assisted me with frames was polite and helpful. However, the optometrist of this branch was unprofessional. When I politely said “next time na lang” after being told the price, she laughed loudly in front of another customer, which was humiliating. An optometrist should treat customers with respect, not mock them. At first, they said lenses were free for One Vision. But when they checked my recently purchased Owndays One Vision frame (bought only six days ago), they suddenly jacked up the price of the lens to ₱5,800. That felt like a dishonest bait-and-switch. Worse, the optometrist did not even check my eyes. Instead, she told the technician to check my Owndays lenses. They even claimed those lenses had “no astigmatism correction,” which is false — because my Owndays lenses do correct for my astigmatism, and they work perfectly. I came to this branch twice. Both times, the store was almost empty. On my second visit, there was only one other customer. In contrast, Owndays always has several customers waiting, which shows where people put their trust. The attitude here is the biggest problem. They act like they are a Rolex or Hermès boutique, when in fact they are not luxurious at all — and it shows, because they don’t even have customers. A business should remember: you cannot judge customers by how they look. Sometimes the simplest customer, in plain clothes, can actually afford the most expensive glasses. By failing to recognize this, they’re not only rude — they’re also stupid for losing real business. Yes, the ₱27,000 I’ve spent in Owndays this month might be small to rich people, but Ideal Vision should focus on what the customer needs, not on humiliating them. I really did not appreciate the optometrist’s attitude. I am also part of sales, and honestly, I am not like them. I tell my customers and leads the full truth to earn their trust. That is what Owndays has done for me — they earned my trust over three years, and they remain transparent and consistent. That is why they won my business. This branch lost mine completely. If Ideal Vision wants to keep customers, they should train their professionals to elevate every customer, not embarrass them. Respect and honesty go farther than fake discounts. I will not return.
