Case 1 Vision Therapy Of Pediatric with exophoria The first patient presented and he kept complaining about his eyes feeling tired, getting headaches, and having a hard time focusing, especially when he was reading. His parents also noticed his eyes sometimes looked like they were drifting outwards. This got worse when he did a lot of close-up work, like reading or studying. Turns out, he had exophoria, which means his eyes tend to drift outward, and it was causing him problems. The doctors decided to put him in vision therapy. This involved exercises to help his eyes work together better, especially focusing inwards (positive fusional vergence) and being able to focus on things up close. Basically, the idea was to train his eyes to stay aligned and focus properly. And guess what? It worked! He felt way better, his eyes weren't as strained, and he could concentrate better. So, vision therapy helped him a lot with his exophoria, which made his life much easier. Case 2 High Myopia The second patient, has had severe nearsightedness since she was a child, and it's been getting worse. She now needs a very strong prescription, diopters, in both eyes. She's struggling to see clearly at a distance and is also finding it harder to see at night. To help her see better, she was given special, thin and light glasses because of her strong prescription. She was also fitted for contact lenses. Additionally, she was told about Ortho-k lenses, which are special contacts worn at night to reshape her cornea and possibly slow down how fast her nearsightedness is progressing, especially since she's still relatively young."
