And the staff are very friendly nicely and pretty and also having a nice and clean clinic. My Journey with Lumbar Spondylolisthesis I was diagnosed with Lumbar Spondylolisthesis in 2024, but even before that year, I had already been experiencing lower back pain. During my first check-up, the doctor thought it might just be due to high uric acid since I had not experienced any accidents and was still young. By the second check-up in 2023, I mentioned that I often heard a cracking sound in my lower back. The doctor then advised me to have an X-ray, which led to a recommendation for physical therapy around November to December 2023. I completed the prescribed sessions, and the doctor at the rehabilitation center advised me to continue monthly visits for three months. However, because of my busy schedule, I was not able to return until November 2024. That same month, the pain came back, this time with numbness and tingling from my hips down to my toes. I consulted an orthopedic doctor, who ordered both X-ray and MRI scans to check if a nerve was affected. Based on the results, I was referred again to the rehabilitation center for another round of physical therapy. The rehab doctor recommended that I undergo an NCV (nerve conduction test) and attend multiple sessions, along with two to three follow-up check-ups. After completing the last PT session, I did not return for another follow-up because I did not see much improvement. That was when I decided to try chiropractic care. I started my chiropractic treatment in January 2025. The initial recommendation was eight sessions per month, but from January to May 2025, I only visited twice a month, completing two sessions per visit for a total of four sessions per month. When I mentioned that I was almost done with my sessions but still felt some pain, the chiropractor explained that I had not been following the full eight sessions per month. They advised me to complete the recommended eight sessions per month, which I started doing around June or July until August 2025. Since my condition gradually improved, they later reduced my sessions to four per month starting September 2025 up to the present. Now, I only have four sessions left, and I am currently waiting for the chiropractor’s advice to know if I am already graduated from my treatment or if I still need more sessions. As for my chiropractic care experience, I can say that it is truly relaxing. Every session gives me a feeling of relief and lightness in my body. The doctor and staff are all very accommodating, friendly, and understanding, which makes every visit comfortable and reassuring. Lessons Learned / Insights • Follow the doctor’s recommendations for a faster and smoother recovery. • Health is wealth, so always take care of your body. • Having an HMO and a credit card is a big help, especially for 0% installment options on medical expenses.
