Dr. Maria Leonora S. Villaruz

We had a very bad experience with this doctor and her secretary last March 2025. She was referred to us by our OB as a consult for our baby. Our baby was stillborn last January due to a cord coil, but to rule out any genetic anomally, Dr Villaruz was called for a consult. Chromosomal analysis was requested (to be done in St Lukes). And a follow up check up was scheduled a month after. We came in early for the consult on March 6 to have our lab results interpreted. We were first in line. The doctor and her secretary were late. The secretary came in 10.30am, and immediately started to accept patients. Doctora Villaruz came in past 11am. I was okay with her putting us 5th in the line, but we found out that she decided to move us to last to give way to other patients. The secretary was very rude, and said that "last po kayo, wala naman pong baby, unahin po namin ang may mga paseynte." I did mind that patients kept on coming and we were being pushed back further. "Hindi ko na din po gagawan ng record, patay na din naman po si Baby nyo." She said, very insensitive. When it was our turn, Doctora Villaruz said "Actually wala naman kaming trabaho diyan, patay na si Baby, hindi kami ang nag catch. Hindi ko nga alam bakit tinawag pa kami. Siguro naisip lang ng OB mo na Neonatal ako kaya ako ang nirefer." Apparently, she did not even see our baby. Our OB was shocked when she learned that Dra. Villaruz did not even visit us to check up on us and or even check on the baby. She billed us in our Hospital fee (during our baby's delivery) for Professional fee, but did not even check anything. She did not charge us for the check up. We were offended and were hurt. I would not recommend her to any parents or upcoming parents.
