โ€œTheir orthopedic department have passionate and dedicated doctors. You can feel that you are really being taken cared of. They also do their best to explain the situation and the options to the patients.โ€

โ€œIncompetent and staff we're idling in emergency area. Imagine, we were on the queue inside of emergency area for almost 24 hours while our patient's mental and physical health were deteriorating, they still didn't care at all. We complained about the standard protocol on their head nurse but they complaint, too, for themselves and said to wait for the call. After we heard that, it is the most biggest red flag we got that admitting for their incompetence and unprofessional; in the end, our patient died without 24 hours being admitted.โ€

Review of OPD Consultation on December 12, 2024 I recently had my OPD consultation and felt compelled to share my experience. While I did not expect any special treatment from a government hospital, the unprofessional behavior I encountered was disheartening. During my consultation with an OB-GYN (initials: AA), I shared my medical history as it was my first time at the OPD. I explained my concern about needing a D&C procedure (raspa) due to a miscarriage and mentioned that private hospital costs, quoted at around 28,000 PHP, were beyond my means. To my surprise, the physician made an inappropriate comment, stating, "Maliit pa nga 'yon," in what seemed like a mocking tone. Additionally, throughout our conversation, she exhibited dismissive behavior, including murmuring under her breath and rolling her eyes, even though it was just the two of us in the room. I waited over 12 hours in line, only to be met with such treatment. It is deeply concerning that taxpayers' money supports this kind of behavior in public service. To the management of this facility, I urge you to address such unprofessionalism and ensure that your staff upholds the dignity and compassion expected in healthcare. To the attending physician, I hope you reflect on this experience and conduct yourself with the professionalism and empathy required of your position.
