Patient Reviews
I, together with my daughter had a very positive experience at the Calamba Medical Center – Calamba Eye Center. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable—especially appreciated the cool temperature inside, which made waiting much more pleasant. What truly stood out was the warm, accommodating, and respectful staff. From registration to consultation, everyone was approachable and willing to assist, which made the visit feel less stressful. The patient flow is systematic, orderly and well-organized, so everything moved efficiently and smoothly. You can really tell that the department values both patient comfort and time. Overall, a commendable eye center with a great balance of professionalism, cleanliness, and genuine care. Highly recommended. 👏
very slow service. with all the systems they have, still very unsystematic few available doctors in a very short time Not so courteous hotline call agents Badly needs streamlining in procedures
Poor customer/patient handling I went to their clinic after they had a medical mission in my LGU, holding their promise for a free first checkup. I arrived very early, before 7am, because their phone operator told me so because lines can get long. I called them 2-3 weeks prior to the appointment. I wondered why there's need to be very early because usually a scheduled appointment is a guaranteed appointment. I let it go and was surprised about one of the worst experiences as a patient, customer and senior citizen. I was patiently waiting for my name to be called. There were a lot of patients that were already checked up. It was after 3 hours of waiting that I asked one of their staff. They told me I'll be called from the consultation room. Another 30 minutes or so passed, and my name wasn't still called, and so I got up again and asked the staff. They then told me non-verbatim, "charity po kasi kayo; inuuna po ang mga paid consult." I asked how long I will wait. They replied that the doctor's appointment is until 11am and all paid patients come first. I left with disappointment. Issues: 1. They are not transparent about the process. They assume it is okay to make people wait ungodly amount of time just because it's a "charity" consult without letting people know what to be expected. 2. No visible and fair queueing system. People who went for "charity" checkup should be treated fairly. They deserve a proper system. You came to LGUs with caring presentation yet treated people like they're 2nd class citizens. 3. Poor customer handling. When they saw "charity" patients are disappointed, there's no remorse or empathy. They're business as usual. As if they're saying to my face: "libre naman kaya magdusa kayong maghintay". People deserve better, and know that without patients, you won't have anything to stand on.
